Our History

Our plumbing story reaches back to 1920, when JT Graves and Son Pty Ltd began in Hobart as a family-run plumbing business. Express Plumbing became a recognised Hobart name from September 1970, building its own history in the local trade.

In 2012, Express Plumbing joined the JT Graves and Son family and the combined business continued trading as Express Plumbing. In 2015, we expanded into fire protection through Express Fire and established a Hobart manufacturing facility for pipework used in fire prevention systems.

That history is still part of how we see the business today. We maintain an in-house plumbing museum with old tools and fittings, and our longstanding community involvement has included support for local organisations and clubs.
